Two days is just enough to fall for Bournemouth’s easy blend of golden sand, Victorian charm and good food. This relaxed weekend keeps things walkable, starting in the centre and stretching along the coast.
Day 1: Morning
Ease in with a walk down through the Lower Gardens, following the stream from the town centre toward the sea. Grab a coffee, then head out along Bournemouth Pier for the finest view back across the bay.
Day 1: Afternoon
Drop down onto Bournemouth Beach for a couple of hours by the water a swim, a deckchair, or a stroll along the promenade past the beach huts. Lunch is best taken slowly overlooking the sand.
Day 1: Evening
Book dinner at West Beach Restaurant for seafood with your toes almost in the sand, then watch the sun set over Poole Bay before an evening wander along the lit promenade.
Day 2: Morning
Follow the coast east toward Boscombe Beach, quieter and framed by its own pier. It is a lovely, level seafront walk with cafés along the way.
Day 2: Afternoon
Spend your last hours browsing Boscombe’s independent shops, or return to the centre for a final beach stretch and an ice cream before you leave already planning your next visit.
